Yarn
Carefully Selected Yarns
At Baltex, each type of fibre we use offers different qualities that can be tailored to suit the desired characteristics of the knitted textile, such as softness, strength, stretch, and moisture management. Our yarns are made to the highest standards and supplied to us by the World’s leading specialist yarn manufacturers.
By sourcing our own yarns, we have total control over the quality of the materials used in our products. This ensures consistency, reliability, and the highest quality standards.
Specialty Yarns
Along with traditional fibers, Baltex also works with advanced fibers including meta-aramids, para-aramid, glass, UHMWPE, and others. This allows us to make fabrics where properties such as heat resistance, or moisture absorption, are crucial for example in ballistic protection and aerospace industrial applications.
Some of the World’s most advanced yarns are incorporated in our textile manufacturing such as Coolmax, Nomex, Conex and Kevlar.
A Wide Range of Technical Fibres
At Baltex we predominantly produce fabrics made from synthetic yarns such as polyester, nylon (both virgin and recycled) and elastane. We also work with natural fibers such as Cotton and silk.
Since Baltex control the yarn sourcing process, we have the flexibility to customize the yarn specifications according to your unique requirements. As well as knitting multifilament, monofilament, and spun yarns, Baltex specialize in making fabrics using yarns that are at the cutting edge of technology with the aim of meeting the demand of the most advanced industries.

Knitting
Baltex has a wide range of warp and weft knitting machines from 12 to 30 gauge including single and double needle bar machines allowing us to make both 2D and 3D fabrics.
This provides Baltex with the capabilities to produce a wide range of fabric with a high and lower stitch density. This makes the fabrics more flexible and durable.

Dyeing & Finishing
As one of the UK’s only vertically set up knitting and dyeing and finishing businesses, Baltex possess extensive knowledge and expertise in dyeing and finishing processes. Our skilled technicians are equipped with the most current up to date technologies allowing us to handle a wide range of fabrics and deliver superior outcomes. Whether you require vibrant colors or specialized finishes, we have the capabilities to meet your unique requirements.
